Project Overview:
AMTRAK’s Ethan Allen Express began service in July of 2022, connecting travellers from NYC to Burlington, VT in under eight hours with expanded service including five stops in Vermont.
EIV provided environmental oversight and construction inspection, office engineering and public outreach services on this $10M railroad crossing, rail improvement and bike path project along the Waterfront in Burlington. Environmental oversight included the monitoring, tracking and proper handling of soils throughout the project area for all operations. A thorough review and understanding of the Soils Management Plan was essential.
EIV employees comprised the majority of the core inspection staff on this project ensuring quality, safety and accuracy of materials tracking, records, data input, and reporting.
